Enough bars are required to hang the drapes, lights and special effects. Ideally these should be on a counterweight system.
The distance between the downstage hanging bar (carrying the House Curtain or first set of legs) and the front edge of the stage is critical and should not be more than 2.5m. Likewise, the distance between the front of the stage and the first row of seats should be as close as possible (not more than 1.5m). In the event that there is an orchestra pit which cannot be used for seating purposes, such area should be covered over and will be used as a forestage extension to the acting area.
Sufficient power typical first class lighting rig, and separate (clean) comprehensive first class sound system are required.
